Reads a length-prefixed string as a slice into the source buffer; no copy is made so exact received bytes stay available for transcript hashing.

Parameters

maxLengthLimit enforced on the declared length before slicing; defaults to SshWireLimits.stringMax.

Returns

The string payload.
