parseTimestampWith
Parses STRING cells through a strptime-style pattern into DATETIME instants (ADR-2026-10-30-02 D8): the locale-free subset %Y %m %d %H %M %S %f %z %F %T %% (four-digit %Y, two-digit pairs, %f one-to-nine digits, %z Z|z|±HH[:]MM normalising to UTC - the offset shifts the instant, never the stored value). The parse is strict: every token consumes, the whole input must match, defaults are midnight January 1 of the parsed parts (the %F/%T aliases expand). The pattern validates once; null strings stay null; strict failures throw (strict = false nulls them).
Parameters
s | the STRING Series |
fmt | the format pattern |
strict | throw on parse failures (true) or null them |
Returns
the DATETIME Series.
Throws
DataFrameException on an unsupported directive or strict
parse failures.
