Column.castTo

Series castTo(DataType target, bool strict = true)

Converts the column to the target dtype, chunk by chunk. See ddn.df.cast.castChunk for the full source/target behaviour table; nulls are always preserved, strict = false maps convertible failures to null, and unsupported pairs throw regardless.

Parameters

`target`	the target dtype
`strict`	throw on convertible failures (`true`) or map to null

Returns

the converted Series.

Throws

DataFrameException per the castChunk table.
