bool any()

The sum in the aggregation result dtype, read and strictly converted to T (sum!byte of an INT64 column holding 300 throws). Sum of an empty or all-null column is 0; BOOLEAN sums into UINT32; integer sums wrap; float sums accumulate in double.

Parameters

Tthe requested result type

Returns

the sum, or Nullable.init when the column is all null.

Throws

DataFrameException when the value does not fit T or the

dtype takes no sum. Kleene-free Boolean reduction (ADR-2026-10-23-08): true iff some non-null slot is true; nulls are ignored; false for an empty or all-null column.

Returns: the any-reduction.

Throws: DataFrameException on non-BOOLEAN columns.
